Remixing is a process where a song is totally rearranged in such a way that it feels like a different song is created out of the original.

It is very similar to producing your own record, and it requires skills as a musician, programmer, arranger, producer, engineer, publicist and legal advisor (copyrights, etc.).

We could see remixing as a modern phenomenon that has become a practical way for hi-tech musicians to exercise and market their skills.

According to Wikipedia: “A remix is an alternative version of a song, different from the original version. A remixer uses audio mixing to compose an alternate master recording of a song, adding or subtracting elements, or changing the pitch, tempo, feel, style, equalization, dynamics, playing time or almost any other aspect of the various musical components”.

Studio Brinker Media has produced successful remixes including those with Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band, Gerry Beckley, The Monkees, Iain Matthews, Mason/Douze and David Essex.

Most of our remixes are built around original vocal tracks only.
